Book lovers and creatives unite!
If you love bookish things, art, and creative writing then this blog will feel like your second home! You can expect something different with each blog post – whether it’s a curated list of things I like, short thoughts on a book I’m reading, or a quirky video.
I first entered the world of blogging in 2013 when I started The Enigmatic Monster Project, a venture which helped me realize my love for horror literature. A love for horror literature also renewed my love for poetry and the short story. Since 2014 and onward I have been pushing myself to write new and better things.
The decision to start my own personal website and blog was an easy one. In 2017 one of my resolutions was to further my brand, and to showcase my personal projects. Things like blogging and marketing have been growing interests of mine since 2014 and I still have plenty to learn! Learning new things is important in realizing and furthering one’s career, and if I learn anything new I’ll be sure to share!
Excellence is an art won by training and habituation. We do not act rightly because we have virtue or excellence, but we rather have those because we have acted rightly. We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act but a habit.
About P.L. Cobb
You’ll find me somewhere in Sault Ste Marie, Ontario. Northern Ontario if you want to be more exact. In 2012 I graduated from Sault College with a three year diploma in Graphic Design; that same year I worked as a temporary designer for the Bushplane Museum, and then as a city ambassador for a local train tour. My life didn’t really start to get interesting until 2013, when I finally moved into my own place and experienced life on my own.
When people say that your life goes downhill once you hit your twenties they’re only partly right.
What they fail to mention is that your life also just starts when you hit your twenties. How’s that for irony? I could go on with that but there’s a short story somewhere within that anecdote, so I’ll leave it for now.
Back to 2013 … From that year onward I’ve been working on my dream career: graphic designer and published author.
